Cable > DSL

Just upgraded (yep, *up*graded) from DSL to Cable. Did a few speed tests this morning and I was getting around 400k downstream on my DSL. Plugged in the new cable and Bandwidthplace.com says I'm getting better than 2gb. Hot diggidy damn...

2Gb? Since cable is a shared connection, there must be no one else on your loop yet. Did they just start offering cable where you live?

Gigabit, not gigabyte, but yeah, it's quick. The nice thing about my area is we're somewhat isolated. We're 5 minutes from downtown Portland, but we're in a heavily wooded area, so houses are sparse :).

Wow ... I'm fairly certain I'm not getting that good performance living in the dense mess that's called Orlando.

Enjoy it while you can ;-)

Ok, now I'm impressed. I have a nephew that is an author. Must be in the genes somewhere? I looked at the larger picture of your book and barely make out the names on the authors and you are really there!! Congrats!!

:). Thanks Brenda ;). I'm still waiting on Amazon to update the book page with the author names. Time to harass Glasshaus.

Maybe I can get the publisher to give me enough copies to send to the fam ;). I can't claim the whole book though. I did 4 of the 11 chapters though :).
