Just upgraded (yep, *up*graded) from DSL to Cable. Did a few speed tests this morning and I was getting around 400k downstream on my DSL. Plugged in the new cable and Bandwidthplace.com says I'm getting better than 2gb. Hot diggidy damn...

Jan 22, 2003 at 10:00 AM Gigabit, not gigabyte, but yeah, it's quick. The nice thing about my area is we're somewhat isolated. We're 5 minutes from downtown Portland, but we're in a heavily wooded area, so houses are sparse :).

Maybe I can get the publisher to give me enough copies to send to the fam ;). I can't claim the whole book though. I did 4 of the 11 chapters though :).
